Support for social media regulation from Saadet Party's Arıkan

Attending the Traditional Izmir Brotherhood Meeting organized by the Saadet Party's Izmir Provincial Presidency at Kültürpark, Arıkan thanked the government for the age restriction introduced on social media.

In his speech at the program, Arıkan stated that Turkey's biggest problem is a crisis of trust and morality, and that the way to overcome the crisis of trust is through solving the morality crisis. Touching upon the regulation published in the Official Gazette regarding the age limit on social media usage, Arıkan thanked the government for this regulation and said that the restriction could have been implemented earlier.

Arıkan argued that the age limit is not sufficient, expressing that the real major harm is seen in daytime television broadcasts and TV series scripts. During the program, Arıkan pinned badges on new members who joined the party, played football with children at Kültürpark, and practiced archery.
