Take-Two takes legal action over GTA 6 leaks
Take-Two has requested user records from Microsoft and Discord in order to track down the perpetrators of the GTA 6 leaks.
Take-Two has filed an application with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to uncover the individuals responsible for leaking the game GTA 6. The company requested that Microsoft and Discord hand over user records for the related accounts.
As part of the court filing, it was requested that OneDrive and Xbox data linked to the identity information of the accounts that shared the game videos be handed over. Microsoft was asked to provide account IDs, email addresses, IP details, phone and device numbers, and OneDrive contents associated with the person using the alias Cyberleek.
Additionally, records belonging to accounts that communicated with users named Cyberleek, CinematicRockstar, Surfer24k, and Odyssey are expected to be handed over by Discord until September 4. The identities of the person or groups behind the major leaks are not yet known.
