Taylan Antalyalı: We Want to Catch a Breakthrough with the Kocaelispor Match

Çaykur Rizespor team captain Taylan Antalyalı evaluated the goals conceded in a short time during the Trabzonspor match, expressing that they want to achieve a winning streak starting with the Kocaelispor encounter.

Çaykur Rizespor, one of the Süper Lig teams, continued their preparations for the 10th-week away match against Kocaelispor at the Mehmet Cengiz Facilities. The training session, held under the management of head coach Recep Uçar, was completed with tactical work after warm-up exercises, station work, and 5-on-2 passing drills. Answering questions from members of the press before the training, team co-captain Taylan Antalyalı began his remarks by celebrating October 29 Republic Day.

Evaluating the defeat against the Trabzonspor match, the experienced player stated that although they did well in some parts of the game, they could not reflect this on the result. Antalyalı noted that they started the first half well but had difficulty explaining to themselves the 3 goals conceded in 8 minutes. Stating that they will learn lessons from this situation, the footballer recorded that they hope to catch a new breakthrough with the Kocaelispor match and turn it into a winning streak.

Also criticizing the referee decisions in the match, Antalyalı stated that they think the referee made mistakes in Fabinho's incident and the penalty decisions. Stating that the un-given second yellow card could have changed the course of the match, the captain underlined that rather than the referees, they need to focus on correcting their own mistakes. Antalyalı added that the 1-2 day period following the Trabzonspor match was difficult for them, but they intend to show the necessary struggle on the pitch and start getting positive results as Kocaelispor is a difficult away match.
