TFF and FIFA Emphasize Safe Sports Environment for Child Footballers

Gülhan Gündüz, founder of the FIFA and Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Athlete Welfare and Child Protection Unit, said that the future of Turkish football depends on children growing up in a safe and healthy sports environment.

Gülhan Gündüz, appointed by FIFA as the "Safeguarding and Diversity Manager" for the 2026 World Cup, made statements in Gaziantep where she attended a seminar on "Athlete Welfare and Child Protection."

Recalling that a unit dedicated to child protection was established within the TFF in 2014, Gündüz emphasized that children are the raw material of football and stated that children are more important than scores.
