The 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival opened its doors with the theme "ALWAYS" at a ceremony held at the Antalya Sports Hall.
Hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the festival's opening ceremony was presented by Pınar Altuğ Atacan and Emre Kınay. During the night, deceased cinema actors were commemorated with a standing ovation, while Emre Kınay performed memorable Yeşilçam film soundtracks.
At the ceremony, National Feature Film Jury President Derviş Zaim stated that the festival has reached its 63rd year and expressed his pride in being the jury president. During the opening, "Honor Awards" were presented to Menderes Samancılar and Tilbe Saran, "Labor Awards" to Abdurrahman Keskiner and Suzan Kardeş, "Young Achievement Awards" to Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu and Leyla Smyrna Cabas, and the "Special Contribution to Cinema Award" was given to Beşiktaş Cultural Center (BKM). The festival will conclude on October 31.
