Against the backdrop of declining fertility rates worldwide, scientists gathered in Cyprus at the congress organized by TÜBİD to discuss innovations in IVF laboratories and longevity studies in reproductive health.

Highlights from the Congress

At the fifth congress of the Infertility and IVF Association held in Cyprus, current studies conducted to rejuvenate eggs and regenerate the uterus in IVF laboratories were discussed in detail.

Mitochondria and Cellular Aging

Prof. Dr. Emre Seli, Head of the IVF and Reproductive Health Division at Yale University, stated that the biggest problem in women's reproductive health is egg aging, and noted that attention is focused on mitochondria, which play a critical role in cellular energy production.

The Relationship Between Obesity and Infertility

Prof. Dr. Hulusi Zeyneloğlu, Vice President of TÜBİD, pointed out that a significant portion of the world's population is obese, noting that next-generation weight-loss injections reduce infertility rates and that losing weight under doctor supervision increases the chances of pregnancy.

Egg and Uterine Regeneration Methods

Prof. Dr. Bülent Tıraş, President of TÜBİD, stated that against the rising maternal age, they apply PRP, exosome, and stem cell treatments in order to rejuvenate women's eggs and regenerate the uterus.
