Timewalk Experience Museum opens its doors in London
The Timewalk Experience Museum, established in London by DEM Müzecilik at a cost of 22 million pounds, has opened. The museum brings the traces of 22 civilizations together with visitors.
The Timewalk Experience Museum, built for 22 million pounds (1.5 billion TL) by DEM Müzecilik in the Immerse LDN area of ExCeL in London, has opened to visitors. Having hosted 50,000 visitors during its pre-opening phase, the museum showcases the traces of 22 civilizations—including Göbekli Tepe, Babylon, Ancient Egypt, Maya, and Rapa Nui—using contemporary experiential technologies.
Following the Hagia Sophia and Ephesus experience museums, DEM Müzecilik has brought the Timewalk Experience Museum to life in London. Prepared over two years with a 250-person team and the consultancy of four international historians, including Prof. Dr. Necmi Karul, Head of the Göbekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe Excavations, the museum's Turkish voiceovers were performed by Selçuk Yöntem and Devrim Yakut. It was reported that the museum, with an average ticket price of 24 pounds, hosted an average of 650 daily visitors in September and 1,300 in October, with an annual target of 1 million people.
Company CEO Eda Bildiricioğlu stated that schools heavily favor the museum due to the "edutainment" concept, which combines education with entertainment. Chairman of the Board Mehmet Uğur Esin announced that they are targeting May 2027 at the latest for an experience museum in Rome explaining the Colosseum, and that they plan to open new museums in Japan, China, and the USA in 2028.
