Touching tribute from musician Murat Evgin following the passing of Nev
Following the death of singer Nev due to multiple organ failure, musician Murat Evgin shared a post recalling the passing of Barış Manço, stating that the artist did not receive the attention he deserved while he was alive.
The passing of singer Nev, who died at the age of 57 in the hospital where he was being treated for a liver condition, has been met with sadness in the music world. Drawing attention to the condolence messages shared on social media following the artist's death, musician Murat Evgin expressed that Nev did not receive the value he deserved while he was alive.
Known for his songs such as 'Zor', 'Mühürlü Kaderim', and 'Sen Gibi', Nev had been receiving treatment in intensive care for a liver condition that had been ongoing for some time. The artist, who was intubated on October 21 after his health condition worsened, passed away as a result of multiple organ failure. Nev, whose death was announced by his manager İlker Ercan, was laid to rest at Karacaahmet Cemetery following the funeral prayer held at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque on October 25.
Evaluating the condolence messages and old concert footage shared on social media following the artist's passing, Murat Evgin stated that this situation reminded him of the words spoken by Lale Manço after the death of Barış Manço: 'I wish Barış could have seen how much he was loved.' Expressing a similar sentiment for Nev, Evgin said, 'I see that every account on social media is suddenly sharing videos about Nev. I wish he could have seen this value while he was alive.'
