Trabzon Golden Taka Film Festival Poster and Awards Announced

The official poster for the second Trabzon Golden Taka Film Festival, hosted by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality and to be held between December 15 and 20, has been published. A total of 589 applications were made to the festival, where a total of 800 thousand TL in cash prizes will be distributed.

The poster for the festival, to be organized under the host of the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, with the Honorary Presidency of Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, and with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Directorate of Cinema, and the Governorship of Trabzon, has been announced to the public. Bearing the signature of production designer, art director, and painter Cihan Gündüz, the poster blends the city's nature, history, and connection to the sea through the language of cinema. The Black Sea mountains rising from a film strip, Sumela Monastery, a fishing boat, and seagulls were included in the poster.

While preliminary jury evaluations continue for the festival, which received a total of 589 applications in the documentary and short film categories from every region of Turkey, finalists will be announced soon. At the event where a total of 800 thousand TL in awards will be given, prizes will find their owners in different categories, including the National Documentary Film Competition, National Short Film Competition, and Short Film Student Screenplay Competition.
