Trabzonspor defeated by Rytas Vilnius in FIBA Champions League
Visiting Lithuanian representative Rytas Vilnius in the third match of the FIBA Champions League Group A, Trabzonspor left the court with a 97-81 defeat.
Starting the FIBA Champions League Group A season with two victories, Trabzonspor suffered its first defeat in the group by losing 97-81 away to Lithuania's Rytas Vilnius in its third match.
Closing the first quarter of the match played at the Vilnius Arena ahead 25-22, the home team Rytas Vilnius entered the locker room with a 46-29 advantage. Trabzonspor's efforts to close the gap in the second half yielded no results, finishing the third quarter also trailing 72-57, and the match ended 97-81.
While Arturas Gudaitis played a leading role in the Lithuanian team's victory by scoring 21 points, Troy Caupain's 18 points for Trabzonspor were not enough to prevent the defeat. With this result, Rytas Vilnius achieved its second victory in the group.
