Trade Minister Bolat Announces $450 Billion Export Target for 2029
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced Turkey's goods and services export target for 2029 as $450 billion. As of September 2026, annualized goods exports reached $283.7 billion, hitting the highest level in the history of the Republic.
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat shared Turkey's foreign trade data and future vision at the "Foreign Trade Policy in the Century of Turkey" conference held in Istanbul.
Minister Bolat stated that as of September 2026, annualized goods exports reached a peak in the history of the Republic at $283.7 billion. In the first nine months of 2026, goods exports increased by 5.2 percent compared to the same period of last year, rising to the level of $211 billion.
Emphasizing that financial support for exporters continues, Bolat stated that through Türk Eximbank, $49.6 billion in support was provided as of September 2026. Additionally, it was noted that the share of high-tech products in manufacturing industry exports rose to 43.5 percent.
