Transportation summit between Minister of Transport Uraloğlu and İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Tugay

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu received İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Cemil Tugay at the Ministry. During the meeting, highway, rail system, and maritime projects aimed at strengthening İzmir's transportation infrastructure were discussed.

The meeting addressed the development of the 136-kilometer İZBAN line, the financing and construction processes of the İzmir 2nd Ring Road Project, and the tube crossing project planned between Konak and Karşıyaka in detail. Additionally, issues regarding the improvement of marinas and docks in the city were evaluated.

Minister Uraloğlu announced that teams from the General Directorate of Highways, Infrastructure Investments, TCDD, and Shipyards and Coastal Structures would travel to İzmir in the coming days to begin technical inspections. Mayor Cemil Tugay expressed his satisfaction with the İZBAN partnership and stated that they would work in cooperation with the Ministry to solve transportation problems.
