Turkey-Poland Friendship Concert in Istanbul in Honor of Tadeusz Strugała
The Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will give a special concert at the Atatürk Cultural Center in memory of its former general music director, Polish conductor Tadeusz Strugała.
The Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra (IDSO) is organizing a Turkey-Poland Friendship Concert on October 23 at 8:00 PM at the Atatürk Cultural Center Opera Stage in honor of Polish conductor Tadeusz Strugała, who served as General Music Director during the 1989-1990 period.
Conducted by Polish conductor Marzena Diakun, the concert will feature Szymon Nehring, winner of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition, as the soloist. Held within the scope of DenizBank Concerts and in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Istanbul, the event will bring F. Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 and E. Elgar's Enigma Variations to the audience.
