The report covered the activities carried out across thousands of construction sites, as well as the recovery of historical city centers, infrastructure investments, and the recycling of debris waste. It was conveyed that the foundations of the first permanent houses were laid on the 15th day of the earthquakes, and village houses in rural areas were delivered to rightful owners on the 45th day. During the process involving approximately 200,000 architects, engineers, and workers, it was stated that the construction speed reached 23 houses per hour and 550 houses per day during the most intensive period.
Infrastructure and Satellite City Projects
It was stated that the works were not limited to housing only, but also encompassed infrastructure, schools, commercial zones, and historical centers. It was noted that simultaneous constructions were being carried out in Hatay's Historical Long Bazaar, Kurtuluş Street, Historical Parliament Building, and around the Asi River, as well as in the centers of Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, and Adıyaman. Large construction sites established in the İkizce regions of Malatya, İndere of Adıyaman, Dikmece of Hatay, and Altınova of Kahramanmaraş transformed into satellite cities. Additionally, information was shared that concrete waste was sorted and made ready for reuse as road subbase material at debris recycling facilities established in Hatay and Kahramanmaraş through the financing of the Government of Japan and in cooperation with UNDP and the Ministry.
