The cinematic world is hosting two notable thrillers this week: the dramatic thriller 'Primetime', directed by Lance Oppenheim and starring Robert Pattinson, and the horror-thriller 'Clayface', bearing the signature of James Watkins. Both productions offer audiences different types of thriller experiences.

Primetime: Moral Gray Areas

Lance Oppenheim's feature debut, 'Primetime', focuses on the story of Chris Hansen, the host of the controversial program 'To Catch a Predator'. Starring and produced by Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen, the film examines the motivations behind the creation of the show, the moral gray area it occupies, and its suspense-filled operation.

The film emphasizes the fine line between good and evil and the blurring of that line. While Skyler Gisondo draws attention with his poignant performance as a decoy, Merritt Wever delivers an impressive acting display as the cold and soulless producer character.

Clayface: The Birth of a Monster

Following the failure of Superman and Supergirl films to meet expectations, the DC Universe returns to the origins of one of its worst supervillains, Clayface. Directed by James Watkins, 'Clayface' tells the tragic transformation of Matt Hagen, who grew up in the suburbs of Gotham and became a Hollywood star.

Whose world is turned upside down when a mob boss cuts his face, Matt asks nano-cell expert Dr. Caitlin for help. However, the experimental treatment spirals out of control, and Matt transforms into a monster. Described as 'body horror', the sensitive screenplay of this horror-thriller was written by psychological-supernatural master Mike Flanagan. The film stars names such as Tom Rhys Harries, Naomie Ackie, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan.
