Upward momentum in commercial loan growth continues in October
According to BRSA and Macrohub data, commercial loans, which had been rising since July, reached a growth rate of 26.3% as of October 16, 2026.
Based on data from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) and Macrohub, adjusted for currency effects and utilizing 13-week annualized figures, the upward trend in commercial loans continued in October.
Commercial loan growth, which hit its lowest level at 16.1% in July 2026, entered an upward trend following this period and reached 26.3% as of October 16, 2026. In consumer loans, a significant slowdown was recorded following the peak of 62.5% seen in the November 2025-January 2026 period. The consumer loan growth rate, which stood at 40.9% in July 2026, dropped to 14.8% as of October 16, falling behind commercial loans.
