'Vote For Bibi, We Have To Finish Job': Trump Ahead Of Israel Elections

In a post on the Truth Social platform, US President Donald Trump announced his support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the 2026 Israeli national elections. Trump described Netanyahu as an 'extraordinary warrior prime minister' and asked voters for their support to 'finish the job that has been started.' This development takes place within a political atmosphere shifting to the right in Israel, as the country heads to the polls for the first time since the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023.

Highlighting Trump's endorsement on the eve of the election, Netanyahu signaled that military activities against Iran could intensify if he is re-elected. The Prime Minister stated that he instructed the Mossad and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to target the Iranian regime. Meanwhile, Deputy White House Press Secretary Anna Kelly stated that the US will not launch an attack on Iran before the midterm elections on November 3 and that the existing blockade continues.

In Israel's elections, Netanyahu's Likud Party faces tough competition from opposition figures such as Gadi Eisenkot. Trump had previously endorsed Netanyahu on October 18, 2026.
