In a speech at his election campaign in Kentucky, US President Donald Trump argued that the US and Israeli attacks launched against Iran had eliminated the country's nuclear capacity, and said, 'We might stay there a little longer.'

US President Donald Trump delivered a speech in Highlands Heights, Kentucky, as part of his campaign for the midterm elections on November 3. Referring to the military operations launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28, Trump claimed that Iran's nuclear capacity had been eliminated.

Trump stated, 'You know, on that little trip I took to the lovely Islamic Republic of Iran, we devastated them. But on that trip, we also eliminated their nuclear capacity.' Reiterating that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons, Trump signaled that their presence in the region could continue by saying, 'We might stay there a little longer.' Arguing that the weapons will not return and the situation will end very quickly, Trump claimed that after the process is completed, fuel prices in the US will drop to lower levels than before.
