Van Gogh Museum Director Emilie Gordenker to Speak at Istanbul Modern
Istanbul Modern's "Museums Speak" program, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Istanbul, will host Van Gogh Museum Director Emilie Gordenker.
The final guest of this year's "Museums Speak" program by Istanbul Modern, which brings world museum professionals together with art enthusiasts, is Van Gogh Museum Director Emilie Gordenker. The event will take place on October 27, 2026.
The talk, to be held within the scope of the program maintained by Istanbul Modern since 2012, is realized in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Istanbul. At the gathering taking place at Istanbul Modern on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 19.00, Emilie Gordenker will address participants under the title "Quality Over Quantity: A New Strategic Direction."
Gordenker, who has been serving as the director of the Van Gogh Museum since February 2020, will share the founding story of the museum and the details of its strategic approach implemented since 2021 with the audience in her speech.
