Founded by former Tesla technical product manager Luci Holland, Veritas has introduced the second version of its custom verification chip developed against the problem of counterfeiting in the luxury consumer market. Operating on metal and glass surfaces, this new technology securely links physical objects to digital identities.

Next-Generation Chip Technology Against Counterfeiting

Unlike static QR codes or NFC connections, the Veritas chip generates secure and authenticated responses with every tap. Thanks to the tamper-detection wire in its design, physical objects are securely paired with their digital identities.

Expanding Scope of Use in Luxury Products

Equipped with the ability to function on metal surfaces and through glass, the second-generation chip broadens its range of applications to include jewelry, trophies, and perfume bottles.

Key Partnerships and Promotional Activities

Veritas partnered with ATHLOS, a women's track meet founded by Alexis Ohanian, integrating these chips into 18 championship crowns. The company also showcased its technology by embedding a chip inside a pair of LeBron James's Nike sneakers.

Investment Process and User Tools

The startup secured $1.75 million in pre-seed funding led by Seven Seven Six, with participation from investors such as Stanley Tang, Gloria Zhu, and Josh Constine. The company offers an iOS app for consumers and a portal where brands can manage their product registries.
