Vice Chairman Giàng Quốc Hưng Inspects Agricultural Projects
A high-ranking provincial official observed science and technology-focused agricultural initiatives being implemented in Hưng Khánh and Quy Mông communes.
On the morning of October 13, Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman Giàng Quốc Hưng personally inspected and evaluated the progress of science and technology efforts deployed in the agricultural sector in Hưng Khánh and Quy Mông communes.
Scope of the Inspection Visit
Comrade Giàng Quốc Hưng, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, conducted field inspections to witness technological developments in agriculture firsthand.
Organic Tea Project in Hưng Khánh
In Hưng Khánh commune, the organic tea production project implemented by the Northern Mountainous Region Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology Institute was discussed in detail.
Under the project, implemented between June 2024 and May 2027, one hundred percent of households adopted organic methods and fresh tea leaves achieved high prices.
Lotus Cultivation in Quy Mông
Meanwhile, in Quy Mông commune, the progress of the project for cultivating and processing new lotus varieties, implemented by the Flower and Ornamental Plant Research and Development Center, was examined.
It was reported that five different lotus varieties have been tested within the scope of the project, achieving high adaptability to local conditions and positive yield results.
Future Period Strategies
Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman Giàng Quốc Hưng expressed his satisfaction with the success of the projects and drew attention to the importance of developing clean agriculture.
He also requested the completion of organic certification processes and the development of long-term strategies to establish the Quy Mông lotus brand.
