Victory Monument Exhibition Opened in Mamak and Book Signing Event Held

With the cooperation of Cumhuriyet newspaper and various institutions, the "Victory Monument Exhibition Opening and Signing" event was organized at the Mamak Municipality Musiki Muallim Mektebi within the scope of October 29 Republic Day. Alongside the exhibition, the event also featured a talk and a musical performance.

Organized in cooperation with Cumhuriyet newspaper, Cumhuriyet Kitapları, Mamak Municipality, the Promotion Foundation of Turkey (TÜTAV), Alegria Choir, Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation, and the Association of Collectors, the event took place within the framework of the "Republic and Atatürk Week Programs." The opening at the Mamak Municipality Musiki Muallim Mektebi was attended by Mamak Mayor Veli Gündüz Şahin, Baydiğin Mayor İmdat Ceylan from Yozgat, Cumhuriyet columnist Işık Kansu, Cumhuriyet Ankara Representative Sertaç Eş, Association of Collectors Founding and Honorary President Korkut Erkan, Cumhuriyet Kitapları author Murat Selam, and Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation General Secretary Pınar Alpay Yüksel.

Following the opening speeches, Korkut Erkan and Murat Selam signed their book, "The Victory Monument Built Under the Leadership of Cumhuriyet Newspaper," for readers. Opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the exhibition can be visited until November 10. In the subsequent talk, the history of the Victory Monument, the construction process, and the works of sculptor Heinrich Krippel were discussed. The program concluded with a performance of republican music by the Alegria Polyphonic Choir.
