Online health tracking for bedridden and disabled patients from Manisa City Hospital
With the digital health application launched in Manisa, the treatments of elderly and disabled individuals who cannot go to the hospital are continued via video calls from their homes.
With the 'Online Home Health Service' application implemented by the Manisa City Hospital Home Health Services Unit, the treatment and follow-up processes of bedridden, elderly, severe psychiatric, and disabled patients are carried out via video calls in the comfort of their homes.
Thanks to the system put into practice by the Manisa City Hospital Home Health Services Unit, the necessity for patients deemed eligible to receive healthcare to go to the hospital is eliminated. To initiate the process, healthcare personnel first visit the patients at their homes and perform a comprehensive physical evaluation.
Following the initial examination, routine follow-ups continue through video calls made over the internet. Through this system, patients' pain status, nutritional habits, fever levels, and changes in daily living activities are monitored instantly in a digital environment and recorded in patient files.
The service, which is currently utilized by 1,040 patients, covers age-related ailments, dementia, Alzheimer's, those who have suffered brain hemorrhages and ischemic attacks, as well as fully bedridden disabled individuals. Additionally, severe psychiatric patients such as schizophrenia using heavy antipsychotic medications are also tracked within this scope.
As a result of the online consultations conducted, patients' depleted medications, nutritional formulas, medical board reports, and necessary health documents are arranged without the need for the patients to come to the hospital.
