Vietnam's Communication Plan Against Non-Traditional Security Threats
The Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a new communication plan targeting non-traditional security threats with a 2030 goal.
In accordance with Decision No. 3914/QD-BKHCN dated September 26, 2026, the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology has implemented a project aimed at raising public awareness and increasing proactive response capacity against non-traditional security threats by 2030.
The new project launched by the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) aims to prevent and combat non-traditional security threats with a vision toward 2045. The plan intends to educate citizens and businesses on areas such as online fraud, AI-powered identity impersonation, personal data protection, and secure electronic transactions.
Additionally, it plans to disseminate technological solutions to enhance early warning and response capacities against various risks, including communication disruptions, radiation, nuclear safety, natural disasters, and epidemics. The Ministry expects all its units to incorporate these communication contents into their annual work programs by 2030 and to establish proactive correction mechanisms against misinformation.
