Winners of the 6th Tissue Fabric Design Competition Receive Their Awards
A total of 2 million 950 thousand TL in awards was given to the ranking designers at the 6th Tissue Fabric Design Competition held in Gaziantep. In the organization aiming to bring new talents to the sector, category first-place winners also won the right to study abroad.
The 6th Tissue Fabric Design Competition, organized by the Southeastern Anatolia Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (GATHİB) with the support of the Ministry of Trade and the coordination of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), concluded with a final night held in Gaziantep.
A total of 2 million 950 thousand TL in awards was distributed at the competition held to encourage value-added production in the textile sector and bring young designers together with industry. In the weaving, printing, and knitting categories, 400 thousand TL was presented to the first-place winners, 300 thousand TL to the second-place winners, and 200 thousand TL to the third-place winners. Additionally, 250 thousand TL was given to the designer who won the Sustainability Special Award.
In addition to the monetary prize, the category first-place winners gained the opportunity to study abroad for a period of one year. Southeastern Anatolia Exporters' Associations Coordinator President Mete Akcan drew attention to the strategic importance of design and sustainability in the textile sector, stating that they aim to combine the original ideas of young talents with the production capacity of the industry.
