World Athletics Seeks New Members for Vetting Panel
The organization announced it will recruit independent members as part of preparations for the 2027 electoral congress process.
World Athletics has launched an application process to include two independent members on its Vetting Panel ahead of the 2027 World Athletics Electoral Congress.
Panel Duties and Structure
Established in line with reforms implemented in 2019, the panel identifies and evaluates candidates for various boards.
With the planned expansion, the number of independent members on the panel is aimed to be increased, reaching a total of seven members.
Qualifications Sought in Candidates
Applicants are expected to have a strong background in athletics governance or experience in human resources and appointment processes.
Application Process and Schedule
The selected individuals will be appointed in December 2026, and their terms of office will run until after the 2029 congress.
