The Milwaukee Brewers secured a 2-0 lead in the 2026 World Series by winning the second game against the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4. After falling behind 4-0 in the first inning, the Brewers rallied to victory with a strong performance for the remainder of the game.

At the start of the game, the Rays took a 4-0 lead thanks to a two-run home run by Liam Hicks and RBI contributions from Chandler Simpson and Junior Caminero. However, the Brewers narrowed the gap with runs from William Contreras and Garrett Mitchell. Sal Frelick's home run in the sixth inning tied the score, and rookie shortstop Cooper Pratt delivered the game-winning RBI hit in the seventh inning.

The Brewers' bullpen held the Rays scoreless for the final eight innings of the game. Aaron Ashby closed the game in the ninth inning, ending with a battle against Yandy Díaz in his third at-bat. With this win, the Brewers recorded their eighth save of the postseason, setting an MLB record.

The series will continue with the third game at Tropicana Field on Monday, October 26. Freddy Peralta is scheduled to start for the Rays, while Robert Gasser is set to start for the Brewers. This will be the first World Series game played at Tropicana Field since 2008.
