Yıldız Holding subsidiary Polinas acquires majority stake in İmaj Ambalaj

Yıldız Holding subsidiary Polinas Plastik Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 67 percent of the capital of İmaj Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for 4 million 20 thousand Euros.

According to the statement made by Gözde Girişim Sermayesi Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the necessary agreements for the transfer have been signed. İmaj Ambalaj, which continues its production activities in Gebze and has an annual turnover of approximately 40 million Euros, provides employment for 250 people. The company exports to more than 30 countries, primarily in the European and North American markets.

Founded in the 1980s with the vision of Sabri Ülker in partnership with the Japanese company Toyobo, Polinas aims to strengthen its market share in the flexible packaging sector with this acquisition. The completion of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of the closing conditions specified in the contract and the approval processes of the Competition Authority.
