Addressing the struggle for survival of stray and shelter animals along the axis of the human-animal bond, the "You Will Draw a Home" exhibition is preparing to welcome visitors at Beyoğlu Tokatlıyan Han with the contributions of 69 cartoonists.

Purpose and Scope of the Exhibition

The "You Will Draw a Home" exhibition deeply questions the concept of a home through the eyes of animals waiting to find a family and via their stories.

This special selection, which narrates the bond between humans and animals and the culture of living together through drawings, aims to be a voice for animals on the streets and in shelters.

Focus Point of the Drawings

Cartoonists created their works by focusing on the changing stories of animals waiting in shelters or temporary areas.

Animals were put to paper not as objects to be adopted, but as independent living beings with a name, character, past, fears, curiosity, and joy.

Organizing Institutions

The event, prepared through the coming together of various platforms and communities in Turkey, bears the joint signature of prominent civil structures.

The exhibition is organized by the Beyoğlu City Council Animal Rights Working Group, Kadıköy Stray Animals Forum, and Participatory Art Community Turkey.

The organization, which was previously postponed due to heavy rainfall, is finally counting down the days to meet art lovers.

Prepared with the signatures of 69 cartoonists, the exhibition will take place at the historic Tokatlıyan Han in Beyoğlu.
