Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that they did not receive any warning from the US and its partners ahead of the ballistic missile attack carried out by Russia on Sunday night. While this situation raised suspicions that Washington is deliberately restricting intelligence sharing regarding Russian attacks, US President Donald Trump opposed the claims, defending that they engage in intense intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy reported that they did not receive an early warning from Washington, their strategic partner, ahead of the first wave of ballistic missiles launched on the night connecting Sunday to Monday, and that no clear explanation was provided regarding this. According to Bloomberg, Ukrainian officials suspect that the Trump administration has intermittently restricted intelligence sharing. The same officials claimed that they were not warned during the first wave of Sunday's attack, but that the early warning system was reactivated later in the day for the second wave.

A senior US Department of Defense official stated that there has been no change in the Pentagon's intelligence-sharing policy. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump rejected the intelligence-sharing claims in his statement on Monday, saying that they have given Ukraine a lot. As tension between the two leaders has escalated recently, it is known that a similar decision to halt intelligence occurred previously in March 2025.
