AK Party Deputy Derya Bakbak Makes Statements on Terror-Free Turkey and Gaziantep
Deputy Derya Bakbak evaluated the Terror-Free Turkey process, the climate of brotherhood in Gaziantep, families of martyrs and veterans, and advancements in the defense industry.
AK Party Gaziantep Deputy Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Bakbak made evaluations regarding the Terror-Free Turkey process being carried out by Turkey, the climate of brotherhood in Gaziantep, families of martyrs and veterans, and developments in the defense industry.
Development of the Process and Parliamentary Works
AK Party Gaziantep Deputy Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Bakbak stated that the process came to the agenda following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's evaluations at the Malazgirt program. She stated that the process took shape after MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shook hands with DEM Party executives.
Academicians, politicians, and representatives of non-governmental organizations were heard in the National Unity and Solidarity Commission established within the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Bakbak said that the regulation adopted in Parliament was one of the laws passed with the highest number of votes to date.
Gaziantep's Climate of Brotherhood
Stating that they received positive evaluations regarding the process during their meetings with citizens in the field, Bakbak said that Gaziantep is an example of different segments living together. She emphasized that there is no discrimination between Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Alevis in the city.
Stating that people coming from different cities live in peace in Gaziantep, which receives heavy migration, Bakbak showed the city as one of the finest examples of brotherhood and solidarity across Turkey.
Cost of Terrorism and Regional Peace
Stating that Turkey has paid heavy prices due to terrorism, Bakbak pointed out that resources allocated to the fight against terrorism over the years could have been used in different areas. She stated that if the resources spent in the past had been channeled into investments, a different picture might have emerged.
With the end of terrorism, a relief has been experienced in daily life in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions. Stating that citizens now go to their jobs and schools more peacefully, Bakbak expressed that Gaziantep also benefits from this secure environment.
Loyalty to Families of Martyrs and Veterans
Emphasizing that families of martyrs and veterans are of great importance to them, Bakbak stated that they are always by the side of these families. Stating that they regularly visit the families of martyrs, she expressed that she will also come together with the families of martyrs in the Ergani district of Diyarbakır.
Stating that the mothers of martyrs are the ones who know the pain they experience best, Bakbak said that many families of martyrs harbor the sentiment that other mothers should not experience the same pain.
Developments in the Defense Industry
Stating that the defense industry, artificial intelligence, and internet technologies were among the important topics at the NATO Summit, Bakbak expressed that Turkey has reached a significant capacity in the defense industry. She said that UAVs, armed UAVs, and various defense systems contribute to security.
Stating that domestic production in the defense industry contributes to the country's independence, Bakbak voiced that these developments have also demonstrated a significant success in the goal of a terror-free Turkey.
