Areda Survey Research Results: Public Opinions and Regional Perceptions
According to the results of a newly conducted public opinion survey, a large segment of society finds regional policies dangerous.
The results of a comprehensive survey conducted by Areda Survey across Turkey with the participation of 2,400 people have been announced. The research revealed the public's approach to regional security, international alliances, and foreign policy developments.
Scope of the Research and General Ratios
Areda Survey conducted a public opinion poll with a total of 2,400 participants across Turkey between August 26 and August 31, 2026. This study determined how regional policies are evaluated by the public.
Threat Perception Regarding Israeli Policies
Within the scope of the research, participants were asked about the policies pursued by Israel. It was observed that a significant majority of 61.6% of the public stated that these aggressive and expansionist policies pose a direct threat to Turkey.
Abu al-Duhur Air Base and Intimidation Claims
The bombing of the Abu al-Duhur Air Base in Syria was also addressed in the research. While 71.4% of the participants think this attack aimed to intimidate Turkey, 28.6% stated that the purpose was to ensure security.
Support for the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement
The Mecca Joint Defense Agreement signed between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan was also asked to the public. While 55.7% of the participants expressed support for this agreement, 23.1% opposed it. The rate of those who stated they had no knowledge about the agreement was recorded as 21.1%.
