Armed Attack in Adana: Retired Specialist Gendarme Who Shot Ex-Wife Commits Suicide
In an incident in Adana's Ceyhan district, a retired specialist gendarme killed his ex-wife with a handgun, critically injured his son, and then committed suicide.
Enes D., a retired specialist gendarme who came from Marmaris, shot his ex-wife Kezban Kabukçu, whom he was in the process of divorcing or had already divorced, and his son in Adana's Ceyhan district. In the incident, the ex-wife and the attacker lost their lives, while their son was critically injured.
Development of the Incident and Arrival from Marmaris
Enes D., a retired specialist gendarme living in Muğla's Marmaris district, and Kezban Kabukçu divorced about 1.5 months ago. Following the divorce, Kezban Kabukçu took her son Yağız Efe D. with her and settled at her sister's house in Adana's Ceyhan district.
Enes D. came from Marmaris to Ceyhan to talk to his ex-wife, and an argument broke out between the two for a yet undetermined reason at the house in Namık Kemal Neighborhood.
Armed Attack and Hospital Process
As the argument escalated, Enes D. shot his ex-wife Kezban Kabukçu and his son Yağız Ege D. with the handgun he had with him. Afterwards, he attempted suicide with the same weapon.
Medical teams dispatched upon notification determined that Kezban Kabukçu and Enes D. had lost their lives. Yağız Ege D., who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital.
