The Trump administration has rolled out the AI-powered America.gov website to make it easier for citizens to access information and services from federal agencies.

The Purpose of the America.gov Platform

During the launch event held in Washington, it was stated that this new platform eliminates the necessity for citizens to search through individual agency websites. Users will be able to quickly access the information they need by asking questions in plain language.

Management and Leadership Team

Led by Airbnb co-founder and U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia, the project's goal was explained as preventing people from getting lost in bureaucratic mazes while trying to find what they are looking for.

Service Areas Offered

While the first version of the platform has gone live, its scope is planned to be expanded in the future. Potential use cases include passport applications, post-marriage name changes, campsite reservations, Medicare plan selection, and veteran support.

Cabinet Members' Presentations

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio showcased features of the platform such as creating Medicare enrollment and applying for passports online.

New Presidential Executive Order

President Donald Trump signed an executive order mandating federal agencies to integrate their public-facing services with America.gov as soon as possible.
