Alibaba Unveils China's Most Powerful AI Chip, the Zhenwu V900
At its annual conference in Hangzhou, Alibaba announced the Zhenwu V900, which it stated is the country's most powerful artificial intelligence chip, alongside its next-generation targets.
Alibaba unveiled its next-generation AI chip technologies and ambitious model plans to the public at its flagship annual conference in Hangzhou.
Zhenwu V900 Chip Unveiled
Alibaba CEO Eddie Wu stated that the new Zhenwu V900 chip is the most powerful artificial intelligence chip in China today. This new hardware has the capacity to deliver three times higher performance compared to the company's previous-generation Zhenwu M890 chip.
New Artificial Intelligence Models
The company announced plans to train a new artificial intelligence model on the scale of five to ten trillion parameters in order to approach the most advanced models in the United States. Its current most powerful model, Qwen3.8-Max, features 2.4 trillion parameters.
Data Center and Cloud Investments
Alibaba also shared its intention to expand the data centers supporting its cloud computing business unit. The company aims to reach twenty gigawatts of computing capacity by the year 2032.
