Apple Announces Health App Renewed with Artificial Intelligence
Completely revamped with Apple Intelligence integration and advanced sensor capabilities, the Health app offers users personalized guidance.
Apple officially introduced the Health app, completely renewed with artificial intelligence and powered by Apple Intelligence alongside iOS 27, along with next-generation Apple Watch models.
New Sensors and Hardware Features
The Health Sensing System is comprehensively updated with renewed sensors featured in the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 models.
The new system includes an expanded electrode surface area, ring-shaped redesigned photodiodes, and energy-efficient green LEDs.
More Frequent Heart Rate Measurements
The new Apple Watch models regularly measure heart rate every five seconds throughout the day.
Thus, heart rate variability (HRV) data is recorded much more frequently, allowing for detailed analysis.
Personalized Guidance with Apple Intelligence
Powered by Apple Intelligence technology, the new Health app transforms all collected data into custom guidance recommendations for users.
New Tabs and Features Added to the App
An Insights tab, a For You section, a Readiness Score, and a Daytime Vitals view are added to the revamped app.
Additionally, alongside Longevity and Health Age features, menopause support is introduced for Cycle Tracking.
Release Date and Compatibility Details
While iPhone owners with Apple Intelligence support can access the updated app, frequent measurements and readiness status will require the Series 12 or Ultra 4.
The new Health app with advanced features is planned to be released in late 2026, initially with English language support.
