AWS Announces AI-Powered Contract Analysis Platform
Amazon Web Services has developed a new architecture that automates complex contract management. The system combines large-scale data analysis with document-based querying to enable companies to manage their contract processes more efficiently.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced a new AI-powered contract intelligence platform that overcomes the limitations of standard RAG systems. Combining Claude models and Amazon Textract technology, this architecture transforms unstructured PDF contracts into queryable data, allowing for both portfolio-wide analysis and access to specific document details.
A New Approach to Contract Management
Traditional Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) tools struggled with portfolio-wide tasks such as calculating total value or identifying expiring agreements when managing hundreds of supplier contracts. AWS aims to make contract management smarter with its new architecture developed to address these inefficiencies.
Multi-Layered Verification Mechanism
To process data, the platform uses an extraction agent based on Claude Sonnet 4.6 and a validation agent based on Claude Haiku 4.5. If the two models disagree on critical issues such as signature status, the system steps in to provide definitive verification through computer vision technology via Amazon Textract.
Data Storage and Analytical Capabilities
The verified data is stored on Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, allowing users to run complex analytical queries. Integrated with Amazon QuickSight, the system enables users to access both high-level portfolio summaries and detailed document information by chatting in natural language.
