Speaking at Bloomberg's Screentime Event, Ben Affleck stated that he made use of artificial intelligence in many areas for his new Netflix film Animals, which he directs and in which he stars alongside Kerry Washington.

Ben Affleck stated at the Bloomberg Screentime Event that he benefited from artificial intelligence for many different purposes during the shooting and production process of his new film Animals.

The director expressed that he was hesitant to detail in which scenes or tasks artificial intelligence was used and did not want to elaborate on the subject.

Perception of Reality and Artificial Intelligence

Stating that they try to maintain the illusion of reality in the cinema sector, Affleck compared this situation to a magic show and touched upon the importance of hiding technical details.

He emphasized that despite all technological support, the Animals project is a deeply human film and constitutes a good example of the ethical use of artificial intelligence.

Film Cast and Release Date

In the film Animals, for which he co-wrote the screenplay with Connor O. McIntyre and Billy Ray, Affleck portrays a Los Angeles mayoral candidate whose son is held for ransom.

The cast of the film, which will meet audiences in select theaters and on the Netflix platform, includes names such as Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun, and Gillian Anderson.

Artificial Intelligence Venture with Netflix

Last March, Ben Affleck contributed to Netflix's post-production processes by selling his artificial intelligence-based technology startup InterPositive to Netflix.
