DeepZang AI Model Aims to Advance Tibetan Language Technologies
Developers of DeepZang, China's first Tibetan AI model, discussed technological updates and ethnic integration at a seminar held in Hohhot.
Developers of DeepZang, China's first Tibetan AI model, have committed to accelerating updates aimed at promoting ethnic integration and improving multilingual translation.
Hohhot Seminar and Participants
Representatives from research institutes, universities, and businesses gathered at a seminar held in Hohhot, in northern China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The meeting addressed the improvement of Tibetan artificial intelligence technologies and the expansion of multilingual simultaneous translation fields.
Statements by the Model's Founder
Tenzin Norbu, the founder of the model, stated that they will continuously improve Tibetan AI technologies and advance their practical use. Norbu emphasized that technological innovation should support the integration of ethnic interaction and contribute to digital development in minority regions.
Technical Data and Features
DeepZang was trained on approximately 70 million Tibetan texts and over 30,500 hours of audio data, covering the three main dialects of the language. The model supports AI chat, real-time translation, and speech-to-text conversion features in Tibetan, Chinese, and English.
Future Plans and Areas of Use
Future plans for integrating the DeepZang model into sectors such as public services, education, healthcare, and local government were detailed at the seminar. The developers stated that the technology will strengthen the digital transmission of traditional Tibetan culture.
