Operating in the field of data integration and analytics, Qlik announced that it has developed the Qlik Answers platform with Amazon Bedrock support, enabling employees to access corporate data quickly and reliably.

Challenges in Enterprise Data Access

Employees within organizations complain not about a lack of data, but rather about the inability to quickly access the data at hand and receive reliable answers. Analysts are forced to spend hours searching through documents, dashboards, and corporate memory just to find the answer to a question a colleague might ask in a short time.

Solutions Provided by the Qlik Answers System

Having transitioned to daily use since its general availability in February, Qlik Answers allows not only analysts but all employees to ask questions in natural language from a single point and receive sourced answers. Depending on the nature of the question, the system can retrieve the answer from a knowledge base, a live analytics application, or a document.

Global Implementation Examples

While Bystronic deployed its AI chatbot in 15 minutes to provide fast access to operational data, Lintech International indexed over 17,000 technical documents, shortening research time and enabling managers to save up to 7 hours per week.

Architectural Structure and Layers

Instead of a single large assistant, Qlik designed the system with clear architectural boundaries. Various components work together, including the conversation entry point, routing layer, response layer, expert agent layer, conversational analytics layer, retrieval layer, and model access layer.

Security and Model Access

The model access layer performs chat, streaming, embedding, and re-ranking operations via Amazon Bedrock. Additionally, Amazon Bedrock Guardrails content filtering and verification controls are applied to every request and response.
