Microsoft has introduced new hardware tools for artificial intelligence agents. Within this scope, the Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface RTX Spark Dev Box models equipped with the Nvidia RTX Spark chip were announced.
Surface Laptop Ultra Models and Prices
The Surface Laptop Ultra is offered in two core models starting at $2,600 and $3,700. In high-memory and storage configurations, prices rise up to $5,900.
Developer-Focused Workstation
The workstation version, the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, comes with a starting price of $6,000. The device is equipped with developer tools such as VS Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, WSL, and PowerShell 7.
Software Security and Containers
Microsoft has launched Execution Containers (MXC) software on Windows 11. This feature allows organizations and users to run artificial intelligence agents in a sandbox environment and control file and network access policies.
Moves by Other Manufacturers
Other computer manufacturers in the industry are also taking steps in this area. Dell has announced the $3,800 Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition PC model, which is open for pre-orders ahead of its delivery at the end of October.
