The Grievance Experienced by the Business Owner
Harriet Thomas, a small business owner who applied for a stall at the Abergavenny Food Festival, fell victim to scammers after receiving an email that looked entirely authentic and included legitimate branding.
Other Targeted Festivals
It was determined that the scam emails reviewed by BBC Wales used the brand and staff names of festivals including Narberth, York, Broadmead, Ludlow, Mold, Forest of Dean, Newport, and St Fagans.
