The Lake Tahoe Unified School District is hosting a comprehensive meeting bringing together families, staff, and community members on October 6, 2026, to evaluate the impacts of artificial intelligence in the field of education, along with opportunities and concerns.

The Place of Artificial Intelligence in Education

Artificial intelligence continues to play a significant role in preparing students for the future by changing the ways of learning, working, and communicating, which closely concerns the educational community.

Time and Location of the Meeting

The community gathering will take place on October 6, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LTUSD District Office located in the South Lake Tahoe area, and high participation is expected.

Student Perspective and Presentations

As part of the event, a special presentation reflecting the students' perspective will be delivered by Student Board Member Miri Lucksinger, and attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts.

Small Table Discussions

Participants will form small table groups to exchange ideas about the future of artificial intelligence in schools and discuss the strategies the district should pursue.
