Domestic Glucose Sensor Developed at Hitit University Receives Gold Medal
An innovative glucose sensor designed by Hitit University academics was awarded by being named among the top ten inventions at an international invention fair.
The domestic glucose sensor developed within Hitit University won a gold medal by being listed among the 'Top 10 Inventions' within the scope of TÜRKPATENT ISIF'26.
International Fair and Evaluation Process
Hundreds of inventions competed at the fair organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
A total of 367 inventions participating from eleven different countries were evaluated in detail by an international expert jury committee.
Outstanding Features of the Invention
The developed technology was designed to be used as a consumable material in blood sugar measurement processes.
Within the scope of the project, ceramic nanofiber-based electrochemical glucose sensor technology was successfully implemented.

Faculty members of the Hitit University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences took active roles in the project.
Prof. Dr. Faruk Gökmeşe, Prof. Dr. Ebru Gökmeşe, and Res. Asst. Dr. Büşra Cebeci signed off on the development of the invention.
