The in-person Regional Artificial Intelligence Workshop, organized by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, will be held on October 5-6 at the Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus.
The event is designed to enable researchers in the Midwest region to transform their theoretical curiosity about artificial intelligence into practical abilities.
Training and Resource Infrastructure
Organized by the teams supporting the Delta and DeltaAI supercomputers, the two-day program offers participants hands-on training and interactive sessions.
The workshop brings together beginners in machine learning and researchers looking to advance their intermediate skills on the same platform.
Learning Paths and Topics
The program includes two complementary learning paths: Introduction to AI on HPC, and Advanced Methods and Domain-Specific Approaches.
Covered topics include AI agents, artificial intelligence in genomics, scientific machine learning, and geospatial machine learning.
Registration Fees and Support
The registration fees set for the event are announced as $25 for students, $50 for academic participants, and $100 for industry participants.
It is noted that a limited level of financial support is available for participants.
