It was emphasized that attackers can launch attacks more quickly thanks to artificial intelligence and write more convincing phishing emails.
It was noted that disinformation can be personalized on a large scale and that such attacks can already be carried out with existing models.
Basic Security Measures
As a first step for managers, it was recommended to fully implement basic security measures and reduce the attack surface.
It was stated that old systems no longer receiving security updates should be replaced and updates should not be delayed.
Cultural and Managerial Approach
NCSC General Director Matthijs van Amelsfort emphasized that artificial intelligence automates the attack chain and highlighted the importance of basic measures.
It was stated that the most important step to be taken is not technical but cultural, and that the issue is a managerial and societal matter.
