Preliminary analyses of an international study revealed that the rate of artificial intelligence use among children in Turkey surpasses the European average and is heavily preferred for homework.

According to preliminary results from the EU Kids Online research, 90% of children in Turkey use artificial intelligence, a rate that is well above the European average.

Usage rate exceeding the European average

Preliminary analyses of the study covering 19 European countries, shared by EU Kids Online Turkey Coordinator Prof. Dr. Kurşun, have been completed. According to the research results, nine out of ten children aged 10-16 in Turkey actively use artificial intelligence.

Preference for artificial intelligence for homework and emotional advice

Based on the data obtained, half of the children in Turkey have artificial intelligence do their homework. At the same time, one in every four children receiving emotional advice from artificial intelligence is among the striking details included in the report.

Digital safety concerns and declining confidence rates

The study shows that the proportion of children who feel safe on the internet has dropped to 32% in Turkey. Meanwhile, 60% of children fear becoming victims of a crime or a deepfake in the digital world.
