Students' Health Data to Be Transferred to the Ministry of Health System
With the start of the new academic year, the Ministry of Health has announced its updated guidelines regarding the annual health checks of kindergarten and primary school students.
In accordance with the new circular issued by the Ministry of Health, the health check results of preschool and primary school students will be recorded in the Health Data Portal to ensure continuous monitoring.
New Term Health Directive
With the start of the new academic year, the Ministry of Health has published comprehensive guidelines regarding health checks for preschool and primary school students. This practice aims to regularly monitor the health status of students throughout their school life.
Details and Scope of the Circular
The regulation was prepared within the framework of Government Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP on the implementation of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Diseases. It entered into force with the Ministry of Health's Circular No. 33/2026/TT-BYT dated August 29, 2026.
Annual Health Checks
According to the new rules, students in kindergarten and primary educational institutions will undergo regular health checks once a year at the beginning of the academic year. The checks can be conducted at educational institutions or authorized health centers.
Tracking Data with the System
The results of the health checks will be updated in the Ministry of Health's Health Data Portal system. Thus, students' health data will be stored centrally and their development can be continuously monitored.
Early Diagnosis and Referral
The main objective of this activity is to assess the initial health status of students and detect common diseases at an early stage. When necessary, students will be referred to appropriate medical facilities.
Deadline Given to Institutions
Local authorities have been requested to compile the list of schools in their regions and deliver them to the relevant departments by September 8, 2026. Accordingly, access accounts will be defined for schools and data entry guidance will be provided.
