TÜZYE President Prof. Dr. Hakkı M. Karataş announced that they aim to establish a high-performance supercomputer infrastructure in Izmir to process Turkey's health data.

Technical Infrastructure and Integration of the Project

The high-performance computing unit, planned to be established within Ege University, is being designed to operate in compatibility with the national TRUBA infrastructure. The system aims to reach a vast data processing capacity by integrating with supercomputer networks in Europe.

Goal of Technological Independence in Healthcare

TÜZYE continues its work in line with the principles of technological independence in healthcare, clinical excellence, and national security. The project will play a critical role in the storage and anonymization processes of health data.

This initiative, highlighted at a meeting held at the Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital, aims to support domestic solutions in health technologies by ensuring that data is shared securely with researchers.
