Turkcell, 6G çalışmalarında rol alıyor

Turkcell is contributing to next-generation communication standards by participating in international 3GPP efforts that form the technical infrastructure of 6G network technologies.

International standards and 3GPP

Turkcell engineers are contributing to the standards of next-generation communication alongside operators and technology manufacturers around the world.

The work is carried out within the framework of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project, which ensures that different devices and networks work in harmony.

Artificial intelligence-focused network management

Artificial intelligence stands out as one of the most decisive elements in 6G standardization efforts.

With the AI-native network approach, the goal is to integrate artificial intelligence into the design and management of the network.

Satellite connections and coverage area

One of the areas where work is being conducted is the integration of satellite and airborne platforms with terrestrial mobile networks.

Through this, it is aimed to extend coverage to wider geographies and establish secure communication.

Environment-sensing networks with ISAC

With 6G, mobile networks are expected to gain new capabilities and be able to sense their environment.

Thanks to Integrated Sensing and Communication technology, radio signals can be used for object and motion tracking.

Transfer of expertise in the international arena

Prof. Dr. Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, Turkcell Deputy General Manager of Network Technologies, made evaluations.

It was stated that 32 years of engineering expertise will be carried over to international efforts, strengthening the role in next-generation technologies.
